War in Ancient Egypt...

Catagory: RPG
Players: 1-2
Publisher: Konami
Rating:
--------------------------------------------

In ancient times war filled the world.
Battles between great sourcerers summoning monsters of great power to fight for them.
These battles, known as the shadow games were soon brought to an end by one great pharoh.
Now evil forces wish to bring back the shadow games and it is up to you, the pharoh to stop them.

Anyways...
the game is nothing like the yugioh trading card game, though it is suposed to be based on the tcg/tv series.
It is pretty close to the tv series in the way the story goes, but rules of play are somethin else.
One thing that i did not like about this game is how you can only play 1 card per turn, and the fact that the A.I. in this game is pretty.. well, not intelegent...
You can enter in card codes from some of your favorite cards to use in this game.
but yet another downer is the fact that none of the monsters in this game have any effects, no special abilities at all.

Graphics are pretty good dispite the fact that most of the game is 2d and all u do is read and duel people.
Some of the music isnt too bad to listen to while you duel people though it may drive u crazy listening to the same thing over and over again.

And what do i say about the controls? they work? i can move the little hand on the screen from card to card an hit select?
at least they dont have the controls set up in one of those ways where u'll be hangin off the cieling tryin to push buttons.

The story is interesting though the repetative dueling may bore.

----------------------------------------------
Ultimately i think im giving this game a 3 out of 5
----------------------------------------------
+Good Story
+Decent graphics
+Cool monsters
-very repetative
-no monster effects
-only 1 card at a time?
